Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate is expanding its presence in northern Minnesota with the launch of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate First Choice, according to an announcement made on Friday.
The Bemidji-based affiliate, formerly known as First Realty, will serve Bemidji and surrounding areas including Bagley, Blackduck, Cass Lake, Park Rapids and Walker. In addition to focusing on residential and lakeshore properties, the brokerage also does commercial, multifamily, lake lots and acreage sales. The new affiliate was founded in 1958 and has been led by co-owners Doug and Jeri Fuller since 2006.
“Doug and Jeri Fuller are well-known and respected in the Bemidji business community for their steadfast support and commitment to their agents and the professional growth of everyone on their team,” Sherry Chris, the president and CEO of BHGRE, said in a statement.
Doug Fuller entered the real estate in 2000 after working for the American Cancer Society and serving three terms as a state representative in the Minnesota Legislature. Jeri Fuller was a teacher before obtaining her real estate license in 1998.
“Over the course of our 20 years in real estate, we have learned to fully appreciate the benefits of a strong trusted brand partnership to fuel growth,” Doug Fuller said in a statement.
Bemidji is the largest commercial center between Grand Forks, Minn., Duluth, Minn., and Fargo, N.D. It is the self-proclaimed “curling capital” of the U.S. and home to the original statue of American folk hero Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.
Through the new affiliate relationship, agents at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate First Choice will have access to BHGRE Be Better University classes, MoxiWorks product suite and PinPoint, a BHGRE tool that uses consumer behavior data from “Better Homes & Gardens” magazine and its publisher Dotdash Meredith’s customer database.
According to Realtor.com, the median listing price for a home in Bemidji is $270,000.
