Scott is founder and principal at Xcentric Consulting, LLC where he helps organizations to uncover and solve technology challenges. This includes identifying and building new products, improving existing products and finding ways to leverage commercial products to solve operational problems. Clients include start-ups, established technology companies, real estate brokerages and other businesses that need assistance in breaking through their challenges and roadblocks to achieve greater success.
He is also a Senior Advisor with REMA Co (Real Estate Mergers & Acquisitions Company), an organization that specializes in assisting real estate brokerages, mortgage and title companies through the sale of their business.
Scott has nearly 30 years of well-rounded technology and business background having managed divisions, departments, teams and budgets of all shapes and sizes. He has always focused on the “business of technology” whether that’s finding the most cost-effective ways to build and deliver or identifying operational improvements to help teams break through their log jams. He’s also been involved in dozens of M&A deals throughout his career from opportunity identification through evaluation, negotiation, closing and integration. It’s this range of experience that allows Scott to assist clients across a broad spectrum.
Scott has served as Chief Product and Technology Officer for companies in the real estate industry for the past fifteen years including Inside Real Estate, Redefy, eXp Realty and Onboard Informatics where he’s helped build products, teams and brand new concepts from the ground-up. At the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) Scott helped to modernize how data is distributed, driving the standard for the RESO Web API and also served on the RESO Board of Directors.
Before jumping into the real estate space as the industry saw its worst collapse in decades, Scott held leadership positions in B2B and enterprise technology companies that delivered solutions for retail, government, banking, insurance, telecommunications and many other industries.
