Global luxury real estate brokerage The Agency announced the opening of its 33rd franchise on Tuesday, with a new office located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada.
The Agency ranked No. 21 by sales volume in the 2022 RealTrends 500 brokerage rankings. This is the first year the company submitted.
The new franchise will be known as The Agency Brantford and will be led by managing partners Steve Bailey, Katia Bailey, Chris Costabile and Courtney Costabile. This is The Agency’s fifth new Canadian franchise this year. During the first quarter of 2022, the brokerage opened offices in Downtown Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Muskoka.
“The attractive quality of life, rich cultural experiences, close proximity to Toronto and top-rated school systems made Brantford a no-brainer for The Agency’s next hub,” Mauricio Umansky, the CEO and founder of The Agency, said in a statement.
In 2021, The Agency opened franchises in 11 new locations, building its network of office through Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe.
Steve and Katia Bailey will serve as brokers as well as managing partners of The Agency in Waterloo Region, Oakville, Muskoka, and Brantford. Prior to joining the firm, Steve founded and ran The Bailey Team, a RE/MAX affiliated real estate team, for 14 years. For her part, Katia has over 17 year of real estate industry experience and previously served as operations manager for The Bailey Team. According to the press release, before launching at The Agency, The Bailey Team ranked No. 9 in Canada and No. 21 globally for RE/MAX.

Chris Costabile and his wife Courtney will both serves as managing partners of The Agency Brantford.
