South Carolina brokerage joins Better Homes and Gardens network

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Palmetto operates in the greater Charleston area, including Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester County

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC (BHGRE) announced on Thursday its affiliation with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Palmetto, which has offices in Charleston and Goose Creek, South Carolina.

Established in 2021 by Aimee and Terry Peterson, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Palmetto currently operates in the greater Charleston area, including Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester County.

“Our affiliated agents’ feedback is paramount to us and after surveying them, the overwhelming need became clear: better brand recognition,” Aimee Peterson said. “I am excited to affiliate with a brand that I grew up with and a name agents can stand out with.”

The firm has seen rapid growth recently, increasing from seven to 60 agents in less than two years, according to the statement. In addition, a number of agents in the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Palmetto team received the 2022 REALTORS of Distinction award from the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS.

“Over the past two years, our company has grown exponentially, and so have our needs, notably the need for brand recognition and consolidated tools and resources,” Terry Peterson said in a prepared statement. “As a Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate franchise, we now have access to the brand’s strong name to help legitimize our company in the market even further…”

With this affiliation, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Palmetto will be able to integrate with the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate lifestyle programs, professional development and learning resources, and affiliated network, according to a press release.

“Their [Petersons] ambition and dedication to improvement for their affiliated agents speaks volumes and it represents exactly the type of people we’re most excited to work with,” BHGRE president and CEO Sherry Chris said. “We are confident in Aimee and Terry’s ability to promote well-managed growth and we can’t wait to help them continue to do so in the future with the power of the brand name behind them.”

Last month, Eugene, Oregon-based brokerage Equinox Real Estate affiliated with the franchise as Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Equinox. Better Homes and Gardens also promoted Jason Nicosia to the brand’s senior vice president of franchise sales in January.

BHG, a subsidiary of Anywhere Real Estate Inc., has a network of almost 12,600 independent sales associates and about 420 offices in the U.S., Canada, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Australia and Turkey.
