Redfin has expanded its luxury real estate service Redfin Premier nationwide, the Seattle-based tech-powered real estate brokerage said in a statement issued Wednesday. With this expansion, consumers can work with a Redfin Premier agent to buy or sell luxury homes in all markets Redfin has agent service in.
“Redfin Premier has helped thousands of homeowners sell their luxury homes, and that experience has taught us a lot about what it means to provide high-end service,” said Redfin Premier vice president Mia Simon.
Redfin has offered the luxury real estate service to home sellers since 2020. The brokerage has now expanded the service to homebuyers as well, and consumers can now work with a Redfin Premier agent in more than 100 markets nationwide.
With Redfin Premier, the company matches buyers and sellers of luxury homes with a Redfin agent who has the necessary experience in luxury properties, according to the statement. They also pair their clients with concierge services for renovations.
The Premier service also comprises video tours, property photography, drone and twilight views, and interactive 3D scans for remote prospective buyers.
Redfin charges a listing fee of 1% for its customers, and no extra fees for its Premier agent service, the statement notes.
Redfin claims its Premier agents close nearly three times as many deals on high-end homes than any other Redfin agents. According to the company, its luxury listings garner 600 million views every year.
However, not all homes are eligible for Redfin Premier.
Homes priced at or above $1,750,000 in San Francisco; $1,500,000 in Los Angeles and Orange County; $1,250,000 in Hawaii, New York, San Diego and Seattle; $1,000,000 in Boston, Washington, D.C., Flagstaff, Lake Tahoe, Maryland, Miami, New Mexico, Palm Springs and Virginia, and $850,000 in all other markets qualify for the service.
Launched in 2006, Redfin currently operates in more than 100 markets across the U.S. and Canada.
