Joe Rath, former director of real estate operations for Redfin, has been hired as Redfin’s director of industry relations. In his new role, Rath will build Redfin’s relationships with multiple listing services, associations, brokerages and other industry partners across North America.
Rath will also coordinate Redfin’s network of brokers and agents to advocate for local, state and national policies that advance industry innovation.
“Joe comes from a real estate family and understands the day-to-day challenges that brokers and agents face and the complicated dynamics of this industry,” said Jason Aleem, Redfin’s senior vice president of real estate sales.
Rath has served on several volunteer boards and committees, including the Akron-Cleveland Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He started at Redfin in 2014, when he launched the brokerage in the Cleveland and Columbus markets. Since then, he’s helped grow the business as a director of real estate operations overseeing numerous markets, including Chicago, Miami, Nashville, Toronto and Vancouver. Prior to joining Redfin, Joe was a broker with ERA Real Estate.
