eXp Realty continues to attract top-producing teams and broker-owners. Both North Carolina-based Towering Pines Real Estate and Vancouver, British Columbia-based Katrina and The Team have joined the Glenn Sanford-helmed firm, according to an announcement on Monday.
Towering Pines Real Estate was a small independent brokerage founded by Allan and Terry Nanney. The firm serves clients in the Pinehurst-Southern Pines-Fayetteville metropolitan area of central North Carolina. Allan and Terry Nanney, as well as their 23 agents, are joining eXp.
“For a long time, independent firms like ours have been on a more-or-less level playing field with the large franchises when it comes to technology,” Allan Nanney said in a statement. “However, we found that the technology we want now was out of our reach as an independent, and by joining eXp, we could give our agents the best tools and solutions available in today’s market at a fraction of the cost. What eXp’s business model brings to the table is so much better, so much more comprehensive, and is so much more geared toward today’s agent and today’s client.”
Allan Nanney started his career at Keller Williams in 2003, followed by Terry Nanney in 2005, also at Keller Williams. They left Keller Williams in 2013 and founded Towering Pine Realty that same year. According to eXp, Towering Pines closed $25 million in sales in 2022 and $30 million in 2021.
Katrina and The Team is led by the husband and wife team of Neil Bellosillo and Katrina Amurao. They are moving their team from RE/MAX, where they started in 2004.
“Here at Katrina & Team, we’ve chosen to join forces with eXp Realty as we believe in embracing a dynamic ecosystem that cultivates collaboration, innovation, and progress,” Amurao said in a statement. “This pivotal move allows us to unlock unprecedented opportunities, providing our clients with extraordinary real estate experiences that go beyond the limits of traditional brokerage.”
In 2022, Katrina and The Team closed 402 units for a sales volume of $365 million (CAD), according to eXp.
“Katrina and Neil and Allan and Terry are all true industry powerhouses in their respective markets, and what they have been able to accomplish is inspiring,” Michael Valdes, the chief growth officer at eXp Realty, said in a statement. “The momentum we are building in North America is incredible. The industry’s best and brightest see the value in all we have to offer and are looking to us to help take their businesses to the next level.”
These two additions comes just weeks after eXp announced that Washington, D.C.-based broker Keri Shull and her mega team of over 40 agents and Kendall Bonner and her Tampa-based team of 17 agents, were leaving their respective RE/MAX firms to join eXp Realty.
