We wanted to see exactly what locations people in the U.S. look up the most when they think about buying a second home. Here are the most popular destinations in the Americas today:
- Mexico stands out as the 1st choice for American home buyers. Compared to 2015, when we launched a similar report and Mexico ranked 4th, the country managed to climb up the ladder;
- Canada comes in 2nd, which is again a surprise since, in the 2015 edition, it only held the 7th spot;
- Interest for Puerto Rico seems to be stable, as the country holds the same position it had three years ago, ranking 3rd in Americans’ preferences.
