Corcoran’s first expansion of 2023 is a big one. On Monday, the firm announced the launch of its first European affiliate.
Based in Northern Italy near Lake Garda, between Milan and Venice, Corcoran Magri Properties is owned and led by Maddalena Magri.
“As we continue to grow our global footprint and network of exceptional affiliates, I’m thrilled to make our way into the European market, specifically into Italy,” Pamela Liebman, the president and CEO of The Corcoran Group, said in a statement. “The Magri team has always prided themselves on turning every client’s dream of Lake Garda into a reality. Their dedication to client service is exactly what we look for when partnering with affiliates, it perfectly aligns with Corcoran’s established culture and core values.”
The country’s largest lake and a popular destination for local and international vacationers, expatriates and city dwellers looking for a respite from their day to day, Corcoran said Lake Garda is the perfect location for the firm’s foray into European expansion.
Founded in 1987 by Luigi Magri, Immobiliare Magri, now known as Corcoran Magri Properties, is still a family-run business. Luigi Magri began his real estate career in the 1950s, and in 1993, his daughter, Maddalena Magri, took over the firm’s business operations, growth and local influence. The firm opened its current office, in Garda, Corso Italia, in 2000.
In 2013, Maddalena Magri acquired majority control of the firm, and with co-owner Francesco Visentin, further grew the brokerage.
“We are excited to introduce the Corcoran brand to our business, our clients, and the entire Lake Garda real estate market,” Visentin said in a statement. “Through the elevated marketing, dedicated support, international network, and educational opportunities provided by Corcoran, we are confident that this partnership will take our business to the next level.”
Since launching its affiliate network in February 2020, Corcoran has welcomed new affiliates in Georgia, Connecticut, Tennessee, New Jersey, the Cayman Islands, and Turks and Caicos.
