New Basketball-themed Ad Highlights the Bond that Forms between Real Estate Professionals and their Clients
Moving can be stressful, but falling in love with a new home is one of life’s greatest moments. The Coldwell Banker® agent network, Gen Blue, understands that moving isn’t just about a few extra square feet, stainless steel appliances and a two-car garage, it’s about finding a place to love. In a new advertising spot titled “Hoops,” Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC focuses on the idea that one special feature of a new house can truly make it a home for the entire family.
“Hoops” continues the theme of recent Coldwell Banker commercials that tell stories about the experiences and memories that make a house a home. Previous spots include last year’s “Somebody to Love,” which was the highest rated real estate ad ever by Ace Metrix.
“At Coldwell Banker our goal is for every single one of our clients to love their home. Your home is more than a financial asset, it is the setting of many of life’s best moments and memories – whether it’s the first time you make a three-point shot or the place where you bond with neighbors over a game of pick-up basketball. Our affiliated agents know how to help their clients find the perfect home and our mission is to give the best guidance, tools and insights to empower our agents.”
– Charlie Young, president and CEO, Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC
“Hoops” tells the story of a young boy who is apprehensive about moving and his family’s real estate agent who wants to make sure the boy feels comfortable in his new home. The agent makes a connection when he realizes that the boy plays basketball and shows him that his new driveway could become the ultimate home court just by adding a basketball hoop. The boy’s eyes light up and later we see the happy boy playing basketball with the neighborhood kids in his new home.
The decision by Coldwell Banker to highlight basketball comes at a time when the sport is surging in popularity. NBA ratings are up nearly 30 percent compared to last year and the WNBA posted their best finals ratings in close to 15 years. Basketball is played in the driveways of homes across the country and hoops are the only sporting equipment that physically attach to your house. Neighborhood friendships are built around driveway pick-up games and Coldwell Banker celebrates this in the “Hoops” spot. To further celebrate the sport of basketball, Coldwell Banker will be airing the “Hoops” ad throughout the Men’s College Basketball Tournament in March on streaming video services and television.
