Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC (BHGRE) announced on Monday its affiliation with BHGRE Rainbow Island Properties, a firm based in the Hanalei district on the island of Kauai, Hawaii.
BHGRE launched the full-service firm, which will provide agents with access to lead generation, technology resources and business-building tools, professional development, and skill-building tools through its platform, Be Better University, according to a statement from the company.
BHGRE Rainbow Island Properties is owned and operated by real estate professionals Tim Ross and Joyce Wright Funk, whose combined experience spans more than three decades.
“With the pair’s deep industry knowledge and experience as leaders in the business, the brokerage will no doubt leverage these tools to establish an impressive foothold in the Hawaii real estate market,” BHGRE president and CEO Sherry Chris said.
Per the statement, Ross and Funk will have access to BHGRE’s luxury program, Distinctive Collection, with marketing resources “to enhance the client experience.”
“As someone who’s always been attracted to the allure of beautiful homes and properties, opening a business in the most scenic state in the country seemed like an inevitability,” said Funk in a prepared statement.
Ross is a native of California who moved to Hawaii four years ago. Prior to his role at BHGRE, Ross worked as a Realtor and broker at Keller Williams Kauai.
Funk grew up in Beverly Hills and followed her father and grandfathers’ paths in the real estate business. She moved to Hawaii in 2007.
With this affiliation, Funk has become the first Black female owner at BHGRE. Prior to this role, she was a Realtor at Elite Pacific Properties and was originally licensed in California in 1989.
“Being a leading real estate lifestyle brand will be our calling card to build the business here in Kauai, working with the entire continuum of clients from first-time homeowners to high-net-worth clients,” Funk said.
The statement said Kauai is “one of the most idyllic places to live in the country,” with tourism attractions, including the Kalalau Trail, the Nā Pali Coast and the Waimea Canyon State Park.
BHGRE is a subsidiary of Anywhere Real Estate Inc., and has a network of almost 12,440 independent sales associates and about 420 offices in the U.S., Canada, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Australia and Turkey, serving homebuyers and sellers in these countries.
