Best Practices: Your Mobile Website

Is your website mobile-enhanced? Do you even know what that means? Basically, it means that your website is easily readable, loads quickly and is viewable on a smartphone. You can build an app that allows people to use certain functions of your website, but your actual site should be mobile-enhanced as well.

Why? Because Google will eliminate from it’s smartphone search app any sites that aren’t mobile enhanced. So, someone using a smartphone to search won’t be able to find you unless your site is mobile enhanced.

Want to know what kind of grade your site will get? Google created GoMo, a website where you can enter your website to see if it’s mobile enhanced. Enter your website and the site will test it for free. You’ll get results in seconds along with helpful suggestions. We received a 6-page PDF document detailing where we can do better and offering tips for getting there.

We tested the REAL Trends site and scored a 3 out of 4!
